Associate Degrees at Citrus College

Upon completion of the prescribed requirements by the California Community College System and the Board of Trustees of Citrus College, a student will be granted an associate degree. Citrus College offers both associate in arts and associate in science degrees, which are two-year degrees. A graduation application must be filed through the Counseling Department.

ASSOCIATE IN ARTS
The associate in arts degree is granted to those completing work in all other majors not covered by the associate in science degree. These subjects include fine and performing arts, language arts, social/behavioral sciences and liberal arts.

ASSOCIATE IN SCIENCE
The associate in science degree is granted to students who have completed the necessary requirements with at least 18 units in one of the applied arts in the natural sciences, or in physical education/recreation.

Transfer Requirements
Transfer requirements can be integrated with the associate degree option so that you may receive a degree at the time of transfer. See a counselor for specific requirements for your major. Course requirements may vary among colleges.

It is important to make an appointment with the Counseling and Advisement Center to develop a Student Educational Plan (SEP) as a guide to complete your educational goal.
