Mandatory on-campus presentation meetings on the following Tuesdays: July 3, July 17 and July 31 at 4:00PM to 10:00PM. You must be present for the entire class period on required meeting dates. Quiz will be given in the first five minutes of class and cannot be made up if you are late.

This course is a general education course that requires a lot of work; for each 3-unit course, it is recommended that a student ought to devote 135 hours to this course.  Please do not enroll in this course unless you are committed to complete it.

Welcome to our class! This class starts June 28, so start reviewing the course website and follow its directions. This is not a self-paced course, you must stay current with assignments. Failure to complete each week's assignments on time may result in being blocked from Blackboard access and being dropped from this course. Please note our required on-campus speech presentation dates and times;

Failure to present your speech on our required speaking dates will result in failure of this course. It is your responsibility to attend the entire class period on our required meeting dates.

Be sure to check the assignment link and complete all assignments for week one. Failure to complete all the weekly assignments on time may result in being dropped from the course.

Beebe, S. & Beebe, S. (2009). Public Speaking Handbook (3rd ed.). Needham Heights, MA:  Allyn and Bacon. Citrus College Custom MySpeechLab publisher’s password card required. See course website for details on purchasing options.

Blackboard and WingSpan Information
(Notice:  All Blackboard courses will be available on the first day of classes)

  • Your WingSpan ID becomes your Blackboard Username
  • Your WingSpan PIN (Personal Identification Number) becomes your Blackboard password
  • To change your PIN/password requires, change it in WingSpan
  • Data will be transferred from WingSpan to Blackboard on a regular basis

Once you get to the Blackboard welcome page, click on the Public Address course link on the right, and you will go to the course site. Familiarize yourself with the course site and if you have any questions please email your instructor with your concerns.  A major key to your success in this course will be keeping up with both the reading and the other assignments.
