Purpose:
This course explains the mechanics of a proper exercise and diet program through lecture and exercise activities. Various forms of exercise will be presented for trial by each student to develop a personal fitness prescription.
Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to:
- Identify personal fitness needs through testing to evaluate physical fitness.
- Understand the values of exercise in developing each of the many aspects of physical fitness.
- Identify several training programs for aiding in develop your own physical fitness.
- Understand the importance of maintaining physical fitness.
- Perform exercises properly.
- Develop an understanding of the concepts of health related fitness.
- Identify the health related components of physical fitness and relate their importance.

Note: Unless notified otherwise, all labs will be on Wednesday from 1-3 p.m. in the Fitness Center or the Stadium on the Citrus College campus. Dress for activity. Most labs will take 1 hour.

- To change your PIN/password requires, change it in WingSpan
- Data will be transferred from WingSpan to Blackboard on a regular basis

A major key to your success in this course will be keeping up with both the reading and the other assignments.
