Course Description: An in-depth exploration of the roles of the administration of justice practitioners and their agencies. Through interaction and study the student will become aware of the interrelationships and role expectations among the various agencies and the public. Principal emphasis will be placed upon the professional image of the system of justice administration and the development of positive relationships between members of the system and the public.

Student Expectations: To be successful in this class you should be a motivated self-starter who will review the materials, complete assignments in a timely manor and maintain weekly contact with the instructor and other class members. The class structure requires regular contact to earn credit for the assignments. This course is hosted and maintained on the Blackboard course management system. It is your responsibility to assure Blackboard access.

Add Policy: I will accept students into the class during the first two weeks of the semester based on space availability on a "first come-first serve" basis starting August 30, 2010. Requests to add submitted prior to that date will not be considered. Failure to complete your registration with the Admissions Office by September 10, 2010 will prevent you from adding the course. Students who have registered but fail to participate in Blackboard activities by September 12, 2010 will be dropped from the class.
