Tim Kyle

Head Coach Tim Kyle begins his twelfth season at the helm of the men’s team and his third as the Head Coach of the women’s program. Along with his duties with the swim team, Kyle also serves as the Head Women’s Water Polo Coach.

Kyle began his collegiate career here at Citrus, where he went for two years. Upon leaving Citrus Kyle moved onto the University of La Verne where he graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree in 1997. After obtaining his Bachelor’s, Kyle went on to get his Master Degree from Azusa Pacific University in 1998.

Kyle’s coaching career began in the same place his collegiate playing days started, right here at Citrus College. Kyle has been the Head Men’s Swim Coach for the past 12 seasons, coaching various All-American honorees as well as many NCAA and NAIA transfers.

Last season Kyle enjoyed his most successful season to date. Kyle successfully helmed a men’s team that took second place at the WSC Championships, the program’s highest finish since they won the conference title in 1992. In addition, Kyle was named the 2009 WSC Coach of the Year, and along with that he coached one of his athletes to Swimmer of the Year honors.

Since taking over the women's water polo program three years ago, Kyle has led the Fighting Owls to back to back WSC Championship Game appearances. Prior to taking over the reins of the women’s water polo program, Kyle served as the assistant women’s water polo coach for three seasons.

Kyle is married to his wife Tricia and has a step-son named Tyler and daughter named Taylor.
